Dr. Louis Lazo Radulovic, Retired President of Innovative Pharma Consulting, LLC.
Lazo received his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees from the University of Michigan. He has spent >38 years in the pharmaceutical sector, having worked at Warner-Lamber/Parke Davis and Pfizer for over 20 years, along with starting an Ann Arbor office for Fulcrum Pharma Developments, a multi-national drug development and regulatory consulting company.
Lazo was a director at Fulcrum. After leaving Fulcrum, Lazo started 2 consulting companies in the Ann Arbor area. He held positions of increasing responsibility in the departments of Pharmacokinetics/Drug Metabolism and Drug Safety Sciences in both Warner-Lambert/Parke Davis and Pfizer. He has assisted small, medium, and large pharmaceutical companies navigate US, EU, and Japanese regulatory processes. Lazo has contributed to the approval of several drugs, including Neurontin®, Lipitor®, Lyrica®, Resulin®, Cerebyx®, Nextrone®, etc.
He was an Adjunct Professor of Toxicology within the Department of Environmental Health Sciences, School of Public Health, The University of Michigan (1994 to 2020). Lazo has published extensively, including manuscripts and book chapters. He essentially retired in October 2023. Lazo and his wife, Dr. Kimberlee Karey, will be permanently moving to their home in Sea Pines once their house in the Ann Arbor area is sold.

This audience-interactive presentation will focus on the drug discovery and development process, the cost of getting a drug to the market, and the reality, as well as misconceptions, of the US consumer cost for prescription drugs.
