January 23, 2025 Current Events Discussion

These are the questions for our next current events meeting at Mangiamo’s, January 23 at noon for lunch.  Although you pay for lunch at the restaurant, please register on our website or let Richard Hammes know you are coming so he can give the restaurant an accurate headcount.

1. 1> Should trade policies be more favorable to the United States?  
2. 2> What actions would help bolster American manufacturing, provide for protections for business and not damage trade partnerships and increase product costs?
3. 3> Where do you think the next area(s) of military conflict might occur that will involve United States support?  Why do you think so?
4. 4> Should we abolish the death penalty?  Should Biden have commuted all sentences to life imprisonment?
