Current Events Discussion for April
These are the questions for our next current events meeting at Mangiamo’s April 3, at noon for lunch. This meeting is for dues paid LML members only and a male guest for one time only. Although you pay for lunch at the restaurant, please register on our website or let Richard Hammes know you are coming so he can give the restaurant an accurate headcount. 1. Do you think Charter Schools in general, and specifically private Charter Schools, are a benefit to the community and an overall positive impact for education in general? Why and why not? 2. What ideas do you have to enhance the entire criminal justice system including policing, judicial, prison and post- prison. 3. What should the United States do about Haiti. Support an international consensus on a viable leader and action, fully intervene militarily and provide security and support for a new government, do nothing and allow it to continue to unfold, or some other option?
