These are the questions for our next current events meeting at Mangiamo’s February 22, at noon for lunch.  This meeting is for dues paid LML members only and a male guest for one time only.  Although you pay for lunch at the restaurant, please register on our website or let Richard Hammes know you are coming so he can give the restaurant an accurate headcount.

• 1.       Has the Democratic Party positioning on the southern border been too soft?  Can this country continue to sustain itself with tens of thousands coming in yearly?  What should be done to alleviate the ever increasing influx and/or what should be done to meet the need?
• 2.       What should be the focus of the United States in Africa (among such things as education, infrastructure, health care, military assistance, political alliances or ??)?
• 3.       What do you think it will take (what would you do) to re-engage with Iran and reduce the hostilities and have them more aligned with the goals of Europe and the United States in the area?
