Organizations around the country are sponsoring candlelight vigils on January 6, but Beaufort County Indivisible groups (Beaufort, Sun City, and Lowcountry) are conducting simultaneous daytime events in Hilton Head, Beaufort and Bluffton on January 6 for one hour from 4 to 5 PM.

The far-right has been very active and very vocal in their efforts to marginalize voters who have opposing views, giving the impression that they are a majority when in fact they are not. The Community Outreach Committee of Liberal Men of the Lowcountry is asking our members to join other progressive groups in participating in a visible reminder that many of us oppose these actions and will not stand by passively as they occur.

The message will be on signs that read DEMOCRACY NOT INSURRECTION.

LML has 20 signs and will be on Hwy 278 in front of Sea Turtle Marketplace from 4-5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 6.
